</OVERVIEW>

Startfield with the support of NOVA SySTEMic is organizing the third annual Cool Code Awards, the ultimate coding competition for elementary, middle, and high school students in the Northern Virginia region.  The aim of the competition is to celebrate creativity and diversity as well as inspire and encourage young students to showcase their coding skills.

Individuals or teams of students are invited to compete by building an app, game, web tool, or cool gadget that run on Raspberry, Arduino, or other related micro-computing devices.  While developing their projects, coding concepts and design thinking are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, patience, leadership, communications, and perseverance.

NEW DATE:   Saturday, February 10th ~  10am-2pm  ~  The MiX at George Mason University

The event is free and open to the public.
